My Brides are always asking me where the best scenery for their photos is at so i thought i would put together a list of my Favorite Grand Teton Photo Locations for them to look through! This is going to be a short list and there are practically unlimited locations for gorgeous wedding photos. And i am always down for an adventure to find new views, so if you dont see what you want here not to worry!
Cascade Canyon
One of my all time favorite Photo locations of the Tetons is Cascade Canyon. The view of the mountains here is just incredibly epic. The mountains look insanely large and you simply cannot capture a bad angle of them in this location. Definitely one of my top Favorite Grand Teton Photo Locations.
Windy Point Turnout
Another First favorite because i can’t choose between the two is windy point turnout, there are the best golden tones in the fall and late summer, you can make it here year round usually. Green pines in the winter to break up the snow. Wildflowers in the summer. Perfect all around.
Black Tail Ponds
My Second of Favorite Grand Teton Photo Locations has got to be Black Tail Ponds. The warmth that these dark pines bring to the photos mixed with the perfect classic angle of the tetons. Plus it is easily accessible all year round. Which Cascade Canyon is not in late winter! Enjoy some of my favorite Black Tail Ponds Shots below.
Snake River Overlook
In My opinion the further you get north, the better the Tetons get. Snake River Overlook is a stunning view of the mountains. With easy access throughout the year as well. It also happens to be one of the few locations you are allowed to get married in the park! The View is iconic with the winding curve of the glassy river below the Towering mountains.
Schwabachers Landing
A classic in the Tetons.
“Schwabacher’s Landing is a spot on the Snake River, almost exactly east of Grand Teton, where the terrain flattens out and allows easy access to the river. There is a dirt road coming off the main highway and down to various trailheads.
This is a launch site on the River for anglers and river rafters and is one of America’s most spectacular viewpoints.” One of the most easily accessible (in the summer time) Beautiful locations in Grand Teton For your Proposal or Ceremony.
String Lake
String Lake is perfect if you are looking for those stunning mountain reflections with just a slight view of the Teton Peaks. It is accessible only in summer time and an absolute gorgeous hiking and picnic area. It’s also the best place to swim in Grand Teton National Park too with a few fun rocks to jump off and a sandy bottom! There is a 4.4 mile loop trail on top of other hiking trails nearby making it the perfect place to spend the day.
Jenny Lake
“Jenny Lake is one of the most visited areas in Grand Teton National Park. Tucked away at the base of the Teton Range, the lake is a centerpiece of the park. From the east shore, visitors have views of Teewinot Mountain, Mount St. John, and into Cascade Canyon. From the west shore, visitors can look back across the lake towards the valley of Jackson Hole.” Easy access and you can make a day of it. You could give your partner a romantic ride across the lake on the fairy. Get to the other side, boom propose.
Mormon Row
Mormon Row is a classic Grand Teton Shot with the barn you’ve all seen. I love this for anyone who is very western or wants that classic western vibe in their photos. There are a lot of cool historic buildings around that are fun to look at as well. The best time to shoot here is in early fall before the leaves have dropped or mid summer when the wild flowers are out!
Moose Head Ranch
Moose Head Ranch is pretty far north, which again is my favorite angles. This spot is in the area and some what of a secret. It took me forever and a lot of google earthing to find! When the sun is setting this is the best place in all of Grand Teton National park to be. It is only a short hike straight uphill to get to the coolest cliff shot. The best time of year to come here is obviously summer and early fall when all of the trees are golden.
