Maternity Session With Shaylee and DJ. Maternity photos are something that can either be insanely beautiful, or crazy cheesy. There is something so beautiful about a woman growing her baby and I love capturing those moments. When I was pregnant I didn’t feel half as beautiful as this and I know that having gorgeous photos taken would have made me realize different, plus had such a special time documented beautifully.
Getting Creative
This winter I have been working so hard on making my in home studio into my dream boho chic cozy space for photos since winter can be just so dang White here in Afton. I finally feel like I have made the space into the perfect studio for me and what I want to create and I am so excited to share these maternity photos with you since I have primarily been doing Boudoir Photography down here which is stunning but not always sharable.
Hanging Roses
With this session I tried something new by adding these hung roses on my backdrop poles and shots through them to give an ethereal bohemian vibe and I am so happy with them. We also added gold glitter to her belly and it added so much gorgeous warmth to her photos I absolutely love the end results.
If you have ever wondered what to wear to your maternity photos a good rule of thumb is to for sure bring a Flowy dress with some slits to add some shape and accentuate your belly. Then I would recommend an outfit you can easily show off the belly in like a tee shirt and unbuttoned jeans or a neutral colored Bra and Underwear with a sweater or cardigan.
Ask your Photographer what their vision for the shoot is
Ask your Photographer what their vision for the shoot is and ask to incorporate something small like flowers, a small camera for you and your partner to take photos with or maybe a cute picnic basket and some snacks. Usually they have something in mind they want to be creative with to make your shoot unique and special, or at least I am always looking for ways to make your photos different and fun.
Who am I?
And if you have no clue who I am and made your way here through Pinterest or the Gram, Hi I’m Kenzie from Kinseylynn Photo Co a Jackson Hole Wedding and Elopement Photographer. But also spend my time doing hair and makeup for brides and photographing pretty much anything I can work out all my creative Juices on. Transforming things is what I live for and what makes me happiest and I feel so incredibly lucky to be in a position where I get to do the every single day and call it work.
