Kenzie + Bryson’s Morning Engagement Session at Windy Point | Jackson Hole, Wyoming
There’s something so peaceful about early mornings in Jackson Hole — the quiet stillness, the soft mountain air, and the golden light that hits the Tetons just right. Kenzie and Bryson’s engagement session at Windy Point Turnout was the perfect reminder of why I love sunrise sessions so much.
These two had just gotten engaged, and their love for each other showed in every photo. Kenzie looked absolutely radiant — the soft morning light highlighted her skin so beautifully, and the excitement between them was contagious. They laughed, played, and completely trusted the process, which always makes for the most natural, emotion-filled images.
A lot of photographers shy away from morning sessions, assuming that lighting only works at golden hour. But the truth is, it’s not about the time of day — it’s about how you use the light you have. Shooting in the morning in Jackson Hole creates this incredible clarity and detail in the Tetons. The sunlight hits the mountain faces directly, bringing out textures and depth that you don’t always see at sunset.
You just have to be strategic — knowing how to position your couple, how to prompt them naturally, and how to adjust your angles to work with the light instead of against it. It’s the perfect time to get creative with composition and tone.
This session quickly became one of my favorites of the year. Kenzie and Bryson were so easygoing and full of love — the kind of couple that makes you remember why you do what you do. Their joy and connection shine through every image, and the Tetons provided the most breathtaking backdrop to celebrate this new chapter of their story.
