The more wedding photography i do the more i realize eloping is absolutely superior in every way. But here are just 5 reasons to Elope. Now this is just my opinion from witnessing multiple Jackson Hole Elopements as well as different destination elopements. The Bride and Groom have a far better time Eloping than any wedding i’ve ever been to.
Less Stress
This is almost a given when you think about the fact you dont have to worry about anyone other than you. No bridesmaid mis haps no annoying groomsmen ruining your day. You dont even have to have your mother there to tell you you look ugly on your wedding day (it’s happened).
Saving Money
If i could do it over i would Elope simply for this reason alone. When you aren’t paying for food for excess guests. Massive amounts of decor to cover every inch of the place you had to rent to fit all those people in it. It is amazing the trip you can afford because you chose to elope.
You want an Intimate Experience
Elopements are the most special tear jerking ceremonies i have photographed. I think getting rid of the pressure of having 100s of people listening to your very personal vows helps a lot. My husband would never let his true emotions show at a big wedding and i think that most people are that way.
Avoid The Drama
Avoid the drama of who did or didn’t get invited by keeping your invite list low. I remember this being one of the hardest things to figure out when wedding planning. Who are we going to let come? Hurt Feelings are not something you should be worried about on your wedding day.
