When it comes to choosing a location that perfectly captures the beauty of nature while still feeling intimate and personal, Taggart Lake at Grand Teton National Park is hard to beat. Lynnsey and Dillon’s elopement was a perfect example of this! With stunning views, a romantic sunset, and a sense of adventure throughout their Grand Teton National Park elopement.

If you’re thinking about a wedding day that involves a bit of adventure, Lynnsey and Dillon’s experience is the perfect inspiration! After a 45-minute hike into the heart of Taggart Lake, Lynnsey and Dillon exchanged vows with one of the most stunning backdrops in the park. Grand Teton National Park offers a lot of beautiful spots for a wedding, but Taggart Lake is truly one of my favorites! It’s secluded, and has SO much beauty! It makes for an unforgettable ceremony location.

One of the most memorable moments from this elopement was the way the sunset lit up the entire scene. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, it cast a warm glow across the lake, creating a breathtaking golden hour that seemed almost magical. This is one of those details that can’t be planned but becomes the highlight of a wedding day. This is a reminder of the beauty in choosing a natural, outdoor location!

Tips for Hiking into Your Wedding Day

If you’re considering a wedding that involves a hike to the ceremony location, there are a few things Lynnsey and Dillon learned that could be helpful:

  1. Bring a Picnic: After the hike, taking a moment to relax with your favorite snacks or drinks can be a great way to pause and take in the surroundings before the ceremony. It’s also a fun way to make your wedding day even more personal!
  2. Stay Hydrated: Hiking in a wedding dress (or suit) can be an adventure in itself. Pack plenty of water to keep yourselves refreshed during the journey.
  3. Carry the Dress: If your wedding location involves a hike, carrying your dress (rather than wearing it) is a great idea to keep it clean and comfortable for the ceremony.
