Grand Teton Elopements How much Coverage do I Need?

Grand Teton Elopements

Have you decided to elope in the adventurous mountains of Grand Teton National Park? Looking to hire a photographer but have no clue how long you will want them there for? Grand Teton Elopements How much Coverage do I Need? Let me break things down for you enough for you to decide.

Not just 1 Hr

Many couples come to me with something like “we dont need much just maybe an hour of coverage”. Let me explain why this simply doesn’t work in Grand Teton Elopements. You are going to want and NEED a few more. Even if you only want me to cover the ceremony and bridal photos you will still want to have a minimum of 2 hr coverage, to allow for walking or hiking to locations, family photos or time together to celebrate.

Driving time

Reason number one why you need more coverage time. Traveling to and from locations in summer and fall in the Grand Tetons can take a LONG time. Or it can be really fast. You just never know how traffic is going to be in the National park. Having a longer coverage time allows for any inconveniences we may run into travel wise.

4 Hr Coverage

This is my most popular Grand Teton Elopement package due to the fact that it gives plenty of time for that relaxed vibe we are going for when we elope. We can capture getting ready photos of the both of you, a first look, ceremony and multiple bridal locations. If done Back to Back.

6 Hr Coverage

This is for Grand Teton Elopements that are needing to be spaced a bit for some reason or another. Say you want getting ready photos but hair and makeup is at 2pm and your ceremony isn’t til 5. Or you want to capture dinner with your family in downtown Jackson plus some iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar photos in the evening. We could even get shots of your post elopement party.

Comparisons

When you put them together comparing a wedding to an elopement they are very different, but not necessarily when it comes to time. Eloping is more simple because there are less people there to bother you, you can wear what you want. Have your ceremony where you want. And have a much more intimate experience. All that being said it still takes about the same amount of time to get through your ceremony and portraits. Wedding days are much larger scale with a lot more to photograph and so my average coverage time on those is 6 hrs.
